Our society is working on demonstrating that the community, the public, and other local stakeholders are interested in immediate action to manage invasive plants which have taken over much of the lake in the past several years and to a large degree this year.
We have been in communication with the BC Government Invasive Plants Team who will take on the work needed in the lake, but first we must lobby government to show that we understand that the only way to implement a long term solution is through a carefully implemented herbicide application program and monitoring regime.
